How long do I earn a bonus from my referrals?

We offer a long-term affiliate plan. As long as you refer 5 people per year, you will keep your affiliate status with everyone you have referred to our site, earning a percentage of any purchases they make. This means that if you refer 5 people per year, after 5 years you are earning a percentage from any purchase any of those 25 people make. If you don't refer 5 people for a year, then all of your old affiliates (from previous years) will be reset and you will not earn anything from their purchases anymore, but you will keep your current year's referrals as affiliates.

How often will I get paid?

Payments will be calculated at least monthly, and payments will be sent once a month, as long as your total is over $5. If it is under $5, then we will roll it over to the next month's payment. Our site is set so that you have live stats for your referrals. You can see the total number of people you have referred, and see a list of items purchased. You can also see any pending or completed payments made to you. You will not be able to see who purchased any item, or contact any buyer.

How do I get paid?

Payments will generally be made via PayPal, however we can work out a different method.

How much do I make from an item?

Many items on our site are from third parties, and so we offer our affiliates 20% of our cut from any item sold. For most electronic patterns, your cut would be about 10% of the total price. Most items that require shipping are sent directly by the artist, and so our percentage is lower.

To what items can I link?

You can link directly to any item on our site. You can link to our Front Page, as well as some other pages we have included. How will the link appear?

The link will not include any information about you in itself, that information is saved in our database. The customer will never see your affiliate number, and will have no way of knowing, from our site, that you are an affiliate. Our site requires Session Cookies to be enabled in order to properly function. If you pop up our site in a frame, it will be removed because they cause problems for cookies in many browsers. If the user doesn't have cookies enabled, they will be shown a message describing this with a link to a solution to fix it. They will then have a link they can click after fixing their cookies, which will properly credit you with their order. If they cannot fix their cookies, then they will be unable to order from our site.

How do I sign up?

Click here to sign up for our site. After you sign up, login to our site. You will see a link to our Affiliates page, click on it. On this page you will need to send a message to us asking to become an affiliate. Please include some information, such as why you want to become one, how you plan to send people to our site (a link to your website if you have one so we can check it out), etc. We will then send you an e-mail telling you if you were accepted, if you are accepted, login to our site. Click on the Affiliate link again, and this time it will tell you your stats, and tell you how to get links.
